Growing Facts
- Lettuce was started in 1 inch rockwool cubes under 400 watt
MH Agrosun light
- Lettuce was grown for 3 weeks or until space was made
before being transplanted outdoors
- Lettuce grew for approximately 3-4 weeks in channels before
being removed and consumed
- Maximum recorded temperature was 104 degrees F
- Minimum recorded temperature was 35 degrees F
- The system is still running as of 10/19/2001
- Varieties grown include Red Oak, Romaine, Arugula, Thai
Green, Butter Crunch, North Pole, Spinach, and Spring mix.
- Fertilizer was the HydroGro
mix and Calcium
