Here are some other plant pictures from 7-28-2001

Some tomato clusters on West Side. The plant in the middle will be taken out after the tomatoes ripen. The plant on the right of it grew so big that it actually knocked over the other plants. I have clipped off all the tops of the stems to keep the plant from growing, that way all energy will be put into the fruit. Can anyone tell me what the brown stuff is on the tomato on the right of the picture about an inch down. These are Arkansas Traveler Heirloom tomatoes. The brown spot if very hard and does not penetrate the skin of the tomato. Is this just what I should expect?
More pictures of tomatoes on West Side. Not sure what's up with the tomato in the middle. Same plant as above, Heirloom. It's not every tomato. Does anyone know what it is?
